Fabregas With 50:50 Chance To Face Chelsea At The bridge

In a freak hamstring injury that led to an even freakier goal against Sunderland two weekends and four matches ago, Arsenal's skipper Cesc fabregas has a slim chance of adding to his already 200+ appearances for the club.
 Arsene Wenger while giving an update of the ever full treatment room at the Groove however refused to completely rule out the World Cup winning spaniard who he considers to be the leader of his young guns

"I don't know about Cesc...It looks a 50:50 but a 50:50 balancing on the negative side. I will find out on Saturday morning."

Considering Wenger's earlier remarks in the week where he expressed slim chances of Cesc Fabregas playing, this latest update appears a little more optimistic. Fabregas has continuously maintained that he would like to be fit to face the champions at their own backyard in Stamford Bridge this coming Sunday the 3rd of October.

Concerning Other Injury Updates

Abou Diaby will be included in the squad to Chelsea although the manager indicated that he is yet to regain full fitness following an ankle injury

 "Abou Diaby has an 80% chance to be involved. I am not sure if he will be completely 100% but it is 100% he will be in the squad." 

Manuel Almunia has not trained since his elbow injury suffered during Arsenal's humiliating defeat at home to West Bromwich Albion,  therefore fantastic Fabianski ( as described by Wenger following his imperious performance against Partizan Belgrade in the mid-week champions league clash ) will get a chance to show his worth as a first choice keeper for Arsenal.

Thomas Vermaelen, the Verminator / TV5 as fondly called by gooners, continues to sit out as he is yet to recover from his Achilles injury. The new boys Squillaci and Koscienly look set to continue their partnership which should be thoroughly tested by Arsenal's perennial tormentor Didier Drogba. Drobga has skinned every pair of defensive partnership that Wenger has put out since the Mourinho days, scoring in every game that he has faced Arsenal.

Some positive however with the confirmation that Bendtner who is yet to feature for the gunners this season is expected back after the coming international break to help Chamakh shore up the attacking duties. Welshman, Aaron Ramsey  is said to be progressing well form his horrific leg break last season. Looking at the performances of Jack Wilshere, it is hard not to try and imagine where this young lad could have been were it not for the injury.
