Arsenalii has a sister blog ,A.S.I Sportswire, a dedicated sports blog that is less of a sports discipline specialist or brand focused like Arsenalii; with a wider sports banquet inclusive of Formula one, Tennis, IRB Rugby etc.

In naming the blog, the creators of these sister websites- Lwandaz Tales media, were inspired by a Wenger quote on the three qualities need for a player to be a one off of the mould of Messi, both Ronaldos or Van Persie: athletisim, skill and intelligence.

These attributes couldn't be better illustrated by the fortunes of the best center forward seen recently, 'fatboy' Ronaldo and the one threatening to be the best yet in recent memory, Robin Van Persie.

For the former it is the decline in the first attribute of the holy trinity, as described by Wenger, that led to the demise of their reign atop the game while for the later, it is the recent exhibitionism of this more physical of the three attributes- by remaining injury free for an entire campaign for the first time ever in his career- that illuminates the importance of athleticism.

In the early bird signing of Podolski, the excitement in gooner world is understandable as in the established German international, needless to say "the current top attacker that can claim German heritage" we’ve get all three.

Many argue that project youth has been a flop, but in our eyes, the jury is still out when all is considered. It took Chelsea 10 years of money spent and mangers fired for that triumph in Munich. Yes, during that time they won a spattering of Premier League titles and FA Cups, but consider the case of Manchester City, it should be at least five years since the Shinawatra takeover.
