Arsenal Vs West Ham Team
Subs: Shea, Vela, Arshavin, Chamakh, Denilson, Gibbs, Bendtner
Man Of The Match
Robin Van Persie: Looked match fit, sharp and hungry to lead Arsenal's attack once again. Involved in all three goals with two goals on the night and an assist.
Great game For
Clichy: Solid defensively and a better threat going forward. Involved in two of the goals, wasted one cross but splendid display at left back. Looks to have benefited from the rest and competition for places offered by Gibbs.
Challenging Match For
Djourou: Came up against a physical Carlton Cole who like using his frame to shield the ball from defenders. Save for that almost suicidal back pass, handled himself well to the challenge. Didn't give away a foul or get himself booked. The Clean sheet says it all.
Trying Match For
Eboue: Great at going forward almost scored a goal in one of his forays, great defensively when the ball if a head of him but struggled with balls played behind him. Not bad considering that Arsene Wenger lists him as a left sided midfielder.
Team and Play Verdict
Better display full of urgency , vigor and hunger. The attacking trio of Nasri, Walcottt and RVP appear to be developing an understanding with wonderful positional interchange. Though West Ham didn't offer much of a threat, it was a solid team defensive display.
The ball was pressed early, and the midfield first to hunt down 50:50 balls. This game showed just how formidable the Wilshere-Song- Fabregas partnership with better understanding. Djourou and Koscienly could just cut it, with Sagna coming back in the next game, the back line should be more solid.
